Matthew 14:16-20

Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered. “Bring them here to me,” he said. And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. They all ate and were satisfied…
Matthew 14:16-20

From my newsletter:

When I first decided to change the focus of the website to faithbooking, I began wondering how I was going to financially add all these exciting new products to the store. Shortly thereafter, I received a credit card offer in the mail offering 0% interest for an introductory period. Boy was I tempted to go shopping! After all, I had time to pay it back before the interest rate went up, right? But I knew in my heart, that God would not want my business starting out in debt. Feeling a little bummed, I received a devotional in my inbox about the “feeding of the 5000”. The people were hungry and the disciples wanted to send the people into the village to buy their own food. But Jesus did not want to miss out on an opportunity to teach or to glorify God. So he used what little resources he had on hand-5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. So I thought, “what resources to I already have on hand?” Well, I have been busy selling inventory from a previous business, cleaning out my closets, organizing my garage/house, creating items with supplies on hand, having sales and babysitting the neighbor kids. Slowly, I have been building up the business account and finally reached my goal! So be on the lookout soon for products from Crossed Paths and a few more surprises!

Supporting verses:
8Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked, "You of little faith, why are you talking among yourselves about having no bread? 9Do you still not understand? Don't you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered? 10Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered? Matthew 16:8-10

He told the crowd to sit down on the ground. When he had taken the seven loaves and given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to set before the people, and they did so. Mark 8:6
